Hi, I am writing for your input on my recovery process. Currently, I am on i.v. rocephin (for 6 weeks). I had 11 great days around the 4 week mark and then the symptoms came back out of nowhere. I have had a few other good stretchs (3 days). Am I supposed to be feeling gradually better or do these good and bad days happen to others like this? Thank you so much for your input.

Good days and bad days is normal. It's also normal to herx around week four.
Why are you only on for six weeks?

thank you for your reply. i am still on the i.v. i'm just at the 6 week point. it is so discouraging. the dr. told me it is unusual to have good days then bad days. he said i should be gradually getting better. that hasn't happened. instead, i'll have random good streaks and then long bad streaks. thank you for your input. it helps.

That funny that he said that. Ups and downs are normal for lyme treatment. So are Herxheimer Reactions that are a worsening of symptoms. It's not so normal to just get better gradually, but it does happen.
Your good streaks should improve and your bad streaks should get shorter and not so intense. At least that's what seems to happen around here.
Hang in there, it gets better.
