After 25 years of all testing coming back negative and being diagnosed with unspecific arthritis & fibromyalgia, I think I may have chronic lymes all these years. All my symptoms are textbook to everything that I have been learning from this site.
However, does chronic lymes cause increased joint pain during rainy, humid, extra cold weather?

Certain types of weather can certainly increase joint pain. I am sure this is true for both Lyme patients as well as others. Yesterday was rainy here in New York, and I had so much pain in my neck, legs, hips, and knees...whereas the day before I had hardly any.
It is quite possible that you have Lyme Disease. I was finally diagnosed at the age of 36, about 25 years after first becoming ill. I have been to every possible doctor for every possible ailment since first becoming ill.
Negative tests are meaningless. Have you checked out the "Seeking a doctor" section of the forum? You should find an LLMD in your area - I am pretty sure there are some in New Jersey.

Hi J Thanks for the reassurance. Your situation sounds very similar to mine. I too was in horrible pain yesterday.
Yes, I have already been referred to an llmd just waiting for the appt
Which llmd treated you in NY? I was actually infected in westchester county but live in NJ so I'm close by Take care

YES! Heat (like the several 105+ days we've had here lately...) makes me swell and makes all symptoms worse... a lot worse. Rainy and/or cold weather makes my pain increase, but generally doesn't affect things like muscle jerking, cognitive issues, or fatigue.
Sudden changes in the weather seem to make things act up more, as well.

Lyme gave me terrible facial pain. It felt like liquid fire was flowing down my jaw.
Dentist sent me to a dental surgeon who decided it was from inflammation. I told him that on rainy days the pain was worse. He said that was the way it would be with inflammation.
He also told me my pain would probably not go away until the summer came--warm and sunny days. And, he was right.
I suffered with that pain all winter. Wanted to cut my head off. Lived on narcotic pain pills. Took many Advil daily (anti-inflammatory) per surgeon's orders. (All this just took the edge off the pain.)
I didn't know I had lyme back then. But, lyme causes inflammation big time. So, if the lyme is giving a person joint pain (very common lyme symptom), they certainly could have worse pain when it was rainy or cold.
In my experience, people with bad fibro (not mild fibro that never gets any worse) have lyme disease. 100% of the time.
So, I believe you have found your diagnosis. Congratulations to you! You did it! It took 10 years of me going from doctor to doctor to finally find one who thought of lyme disease.
Get yourself the best lyme doc you can afford and get rid of this horrendous disease. It's been over 5 years now since I completed my lyme treatment and I am still symptom-free, enjoying my life. I have the same life I had before lyme disease.

For me it does. All my symptoms get worse when it is hot. This is my first summer since I was diagnosed and it sucks.

I haven't noticed a pattern with my Lyme symptoms related to the weather, although it's difficult to figure out any pattern in my Lyme symptoms sometimes.
I used to have bronchitis from asthma, all winter, every winter, that was definitely related to the weather--cold weather, and even more, rapidly changing weather would make it worse. I never got it during June or July. The same weather changes also affected my osteoarthritis that was from an old injury (not from Lyme).
It later turned out that both of those things were heavily related to inflammation. When I was able to lower my inflammation significantly with a low carb diet (and resulting weight loss and blood sugar control), my bronchitis stopped showing up in the winter, and my non-Lyme arthritis has been much better than before.
I know that Lyme symptoms of different kinds can be related to inflammation (it makes them worse?), and arthritis in general can be very sensitive to changes in the barometric pressure and rapid changes in temperature. It would not surprise me at all that weather changes trigger or worsen your joint pain.

the heat makes me swell as well as increases fatigue, dizziness, heart palps, and headache. the cold makes my joints hurt and increases my muscle cramping.
we had an unusually hot summer and the A/C was on most of the time. i would get the joint pains & cramping if i spent all day in doors. i would try to escape outside for a few minutes of sun.
the pain gets especially bad in grocery stores where the A/C is blasting. or at work (in a kitchen) when it's really hot. then i steal a few minutes in the cooler!
the rainy days make my fatigue, mood swings/depression, sinus congestion and overall aches & pains worse.
