2 years ago I had a bridge done - upper right teeth 4-6. After I told my husband I never felt right. Wish never done.

6 months later diag. w/lyme & co's. Could the bridge work have brought this out. Should I just have the thing pulled out.

At my wits end. Head pressure as I have often posted is my nightmare. Any thoughts

I have worked in the dental industry for over 23 yrs. My answer is no the bridge itself could not have brought it out.

Did the stress of having it done maybe do it? maybe? who knows?

There are others that might disagree with my dental knowledge. But I've seen many patients, with MS, ALS, Lyme... and having dental work have not bothered them. Others will say it did.

You will get many outlooks of this topic.

Is your bridge porcelain fused to metal? or all porcelain.

I am going to have to have a bridge soon. Lost one of my bottom front teeth to an abcess last week. other 5 front bottom teeth are all loose have severe bone loss and will need to come out. Looking at a bridge with 6 "false" teeth attached to the canines. Either that or a partial removable denture. Any suggestions?? I am NOT looking forward to this.

If you have a great dentist, all things should go ok. Yes, a bridge with that amount of teeth might be a bit 'long' and strength when chewing might torque it over time, but your dentist should have your bite so you do not 'hit' it hard each time. You will need to always floss underneath it to keep food and bacteria clean under it.

A removeable one is easier to clean, take it out and brush it, and make sure the gum tissue is clean then. And new acrylic partials can be made with no metal in them now. It wouldn't have to be too big, so talking could stay the same for you.

Another option but more pricey, is implants, say two of them, and then anchor the bridge to them and it's a more secured bridge.

When you're in the chair, ask for headphones and just focus on the music and think of relaxing every muscle starting at the head and move down doing both arms and legs, feet... If you can 'go' somewhere else in your head, it will make time go by quicker. Think of an event or something you're planning... something to keep your thoughts busy and don't concentrate on what the dr. is doing.

Best wishes.
