Hi so i have been taking biaxon and plaq to get rid of my lyme..

Things in my life living situation are extrememly unsecure and unsupported.
I was in someone elses house for awhile where i was able to handle one biaxon and plaq with no stomach problems.. And took a zypreka every week when i desperately needed sleep.

Now that im back to my current situation i have spun out of control with mental problems and sleep problems.
I was trying zypreka every other night to get propper sleep, but my depression has been bad and im sure the hang over on that med has not helped. Now the worst thing is that my stomach is such a mess now i cant even handle the abx!!!!

I decided to go to my doc to change drugs as i cant change my life situation or continue to work on lyme treatment with this kind of depression and stomach problems.
I went to my doc today and we decided to try welbutrun for depression and fatigue and trazadone for sleep. and get rid of the zypreka.

My concerns are i dont want to be taking too many drugs especially with my sensitivities to them.
Does anyone else have to take phys drugs to handle lyme treatment.
My muscles are so spasmed that im afraid the trazadone wont be strong enought like the zypreka to knock me out despite the pain. I do know though its not suppose to be as bad for your body.. Im gutted enough already i have to be taking the zypreka every other day for past few weeks( but it does get me that sleep).

Anyone else have to turn to these sort of drugs for help in life while going thru this.

Is it gonna over load my system?

BUt if i cant fix the stress or start somewhere im afraid my stomach wont be able to handle the abx so im trying them out of desperateness.

Just make sure there are no interactions, and you should be fine. I think it's important to treat psych issues as well.

You can go to www.drugs.com and click "Interactions Checker" at the top menu bar, then click "I agree", then you can put in your drugs, one by one, and it will compile a list for you.... then click the button and it will tell you what on the list interacts, if anything.

zyprexa was nearly the end of me! I palysied and couldn't remember my middle name!!! I would triple check with your MD because I'm concerned how you are taking it. Once a week, or every other day...Only because we have bugs in our brains and when we tweak our brain chemistry its really important to be consistant. I am NOT an MD!! but I do have a lot of experience sadly with head meds both personally and professionally.
What has worked best for me is selegiline and lithium orotate. if you go to selegiline.com you can read a fair amount about how it actually protects your brain. My moods are the best they have ever been.
I use melatonin, benedryl and have had my hormones checked and take supplements to help me sleep rather than sedate myself because it rebounds and creates more anxiety for me during the day.
you can ask your pharmacist to run any drugs for you to triple check for interactions.
Sleep is not easy for us Lymies...I also have gone for biofeed back to help with sleep and it works wonders.
your ABX are so important to kill the bugs and I wish you the BEST!! and hope you smooth out soon.

I do the zypreka every other day as i need the sleep to manadge the pain and sometimes the pain is so bad i wont sleep. I Dont want to have to take drugs but i do need sleep to manadge pain thats why we have tried me on every other day. and a very low dose 2.5 mg.

I am gonna try to switch to the trazadone but i dont know if it will do the trick.

I want to sleep naturally too but sometimes the pain is too much for that to happen and not sleeping leads to more inbalance,

I will check out that drug selegiline.
Not too sure about the welburtrin but i need to have more energy and a better view on things to get thru this mess im in at the present. And as soon as my head is better hopefully less stress than i can stomach the abx.

I also have to agree. Even though at first I was a skeptic!

Then LD triggered a mood disorder and I had no choice but to accept it and treat it.

If brain disorders go untreated you run the risk of it becoming a lifetime disorder; but with treatment you have the possibility of resetting the brain to function properly.
