Hi everyone:

Neuropathy is big in my family so I am trying to

watch this with drugs... But I know there is only

so much I can do.

Has mepron made anyone feel like they are tingling

all over especially hands /arms. When I added

zith the other day and now I have started at

ground zero- one drug at a time to determine

what is causing what -- or to attempt to.

Anyway - the zith, plaquenil, nystatin- all

together (what I am supposed to get to) made

me tingle out of my mind. I am trying to determine

if this is a herx or the meds and what do you do

if it is just the meds and it could leave you with

long term neuropathy if you are not careful?

Thanks in advance... Any help would be appreciated.

How long have you been on Mepron? Mepron can cause neuropathy.

Hi Haley: Thanks for your response. I have only been on it since yesterday and that is when the
neuropathy kicked into high gear-- tingles everywhere.

though- prior to starting the Mepron, I have been having tingles on the left side of my head which has been said to me to be babs.

Could it just be bringing out the babs... now my head is going nuts -tingling and the rest of me too- primarily arms feet and hands- tingly is the best word to describe it.

With this regimen,

I am currently doing Bicillin shots-- they did not do anything to my tingling.... only had my joints swell and herxing from that is now MILD at best... with a clear brain to boot. Good success here.

Also the tingling seems to come on right as I take the mepron or like 30 minutes in. And towards the nearing of the next dose, it has worn off-- the tingling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. [confused]

If you have only been on it one day, I would not think of neuropathy but I suppose it could happen.

You need to ask your doctor about it.

My doctor likes to give Mepron for 3 weeks at a time but I have heard of people being on it a year.

Hi Haley- thanks. I hope it is just my body getting used to the drug and it will wane in time. Thanks a bunch...

Any other thoughts are greatly appreciated too!

A...

You should mention this to your doctor in the event it is a side effect or reaction. There are other meds that can be used if this is the case.

I've not heard of this happening before.. but then I've not heard "everything", so do please be cautious.
