I have this very disgusting white, sometimes yellow, coating on my tongue. Is this a symptom of lyme? And how can I get rid of it!?

Based on what the doctor said. It is not yeast. And I been checked for Candida not that either. I am not even on antibiotics. Thanks Tincup.

I have a greyish brownish coating rather than white. I had some tests run and they said it was not candida. I thought for sure that is what it was.

Yeast and candida can be the same, in general terms. Most docs don't know a lick about it.
The blood test for yeast misses many people. You can have yeast in your mouth but not systemic.
Yeast is just the nickname for the fungal infection called "candida albicans." There are actually multiple kinds of yeast, but that is the one people are generally referring to on Lymenet.
Thrush is a candida albicans infection affecting the tongue.
Thrush can be white, whitish or yellowish (I have had those colors). I don't know about grayish brown, but since the color is not always exactly the same, it could be possible.
You can have a candida albicans infection that affects your entire digestive system, or you can have "systemic candida" that is in your blood and affecting your whole body. When it's systemic, it can cause a lot of different symptoms that resemble Lyme symptoms.

You don't have to be on abx to have yeast. I got it when I was pregnant and had morning sickness. My turned turned white, then yellow, then green!
Taking nystantin or diflucan will usually clear it up. Diflucan is also believed to be useful against lyme.

I would treat it as yeast. There's no downside. Take lots of probiotics, Olive Leaf extract (separate from probiotics). No sugar, carbs, refined foods, etc. Reduce fruit also.
