but before I knew I had lyme it sure helped with my trigger pt. pain in my back.
The only thing is it is only temporary pain relief while it is on you. I still occasionally use it on my face when my masater muscles are really tight. It really does work.

My Chiropractor friend ordered one for me. He wrote down specific instructions, when to use what settings, how to use it with acute or chronic pain, etc.
It is very easy to use but you will want someone to demonstrate it and explain all the functions and settings.
I do not use the unit myself any longer. It used to feel good but when I started having nerve problems my body responded to the treatments differently. Even on low settings it would make me twitch and feel uncomfortable electric sensations far from where the electrodes were placed.
My dad uses the treatments a couple times per month and loves them. He doesn't have Lyme.

TENS unit for pain modulation. It's a different wavelength than a muscle stimulator. Any old TENS unit is fine. I am a PT and have a few myself to have a round in case any friends or family need them. Pulse width and Pulse rate are varied based on your goal and how you place the electrodes. For basic pain relief you can bracket the pain area with the electrodes and use the following parameters frequency b/t 50-100hz and width b/t 20-60 ms. You can use continuous mode and when you get used to it change to burst or modulation. Turn the ntensity up until it's a strong tingling sensation. Can't say if it's good or bad for Lyme since I'm only 3 months out from my tick bite. PM me with any questions.

Has multiple settings and modes, everything you need. Just make sure you order extra electrode pads, they only last one or two uses before the adhesive wears off.
