I would love to know what your emergency immune supplements are THAT ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE THAT YOU CAN FEEL. (Sorry the caps - didn't mean to yell, I am just so sick of supps that do nothing!)
For me, when I'm feeling the dreaded flu-like symptoms of lyme, the only things that makes me feel better are Oregacillin and VitC in high doses. I have also felt a noticeable difference in the past from high doses of olive leaf.
I would like to have some other weapons in my arsenal. What immune supp could you not do without?
thanks!

If I try to increase my immune response I feel SICKER!!! The cytokine response that makes you feel like you have the flu is your immune response. I have to work to increase anti-inflammatory immune response, so I can't take things like "normal" people can or I get sicker. So, no elderberry, high dose vitamin C, Transfer Factor, etc. for me!
Turmeric is a mainstay for me, even now that I'm better (because I teach pilates and sometimes I overdo it, but I also take it when I get sick with a cold/flu).
Do you feel better after taking turmeric when you are in the throes of getting sick? thanks.

I believe that the tumeric is for pain and inflammation.

Well, it helps, but I wouldn't say good.
Coffee enemas helped those symptoms the most. Or epsom salt baths were second best.
Burbur and parsley (especially burbur) helped, too.
Nothing can take it away entirely.

It's very important to have this book as a reference tool for self-care and support measures. It answers so many questions in detail that is impossible here on the forum.
