I have recently tested positive for Lyme by Igenex. (in addition to having dozens of symptoms) My concern is whether most LLMD'S will treat you based on positive Igenex results or do they usually run further tests during your appointment. The reason is that I will be travelling from Canada to the U.S. and don't want to be turned down once I arrive.
Thanks.

I would think all LLMDS will accept a pos Igenex blot. But if you want to be sure you could fax it first.

Yeah, fax or call and ask them about it. I would say most LLMD's would treat a positive test as long as you have symptoms of Lyme disease.

I would not think it was a problem. 3 different LLMD's treated my daughter with only 1 positive band and history + symptoms.

If you are seeing a good lyme doctor, you should have no problem.

Symptoms alone are enough for a good lyme doctor.

So, if the doc has a problem, you've got the wrong doc.

Yup, it's enough. Call the office to confirm.

I am not a physician, so do your own research to confirm any ideas given and then speak with a health care provider you trust.
