Has anybody tried diatamaceous earth? Just wondering if you tried it what results did you experience taking it?

I have a friend who lives in a heavy infested area of lyme and coinfections. She takes it and swears by it. Also she works with dogs and boards them. I bought a organic bag of distamaceous earth for my dog and it states breaks up the exoskeletan of internal parasites. I know there is a human grade level of diatomaceous earth, so I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with taking this and how it affects lyme and coinfections.

I remember hearing about that in a vet practice long ago, Heleneh. Don't know how reputable it is or not. Has your friend found it to be true via peeking at the parasites before and after with a microscope?
I wonder too if it may help with detox and/or herxing (like Questran and such- absorbing the cytokine storm, endotoxins, etc.)

Thank you for the replys. I don't know about looking at parasites before and after with a microscope. I doubt it but will ask her. She does not have lyme disease but I wondered if it is because of the diatomaceous earth. She does take many supplements and has a boarding grooming kennel in the area we lived which is very heavily infested with lyme and coinfections. Thanks, I will check out the Body Biotics.

H, you've probably already read this, but just in case:
On another page, just to note, one person said that "It will give you serious constipation if you don't consume an equal ratio of soluble fiber and drink lots of water with it."
I can't find out exactly WHAT kind of parasites it kills, aside from worms (many species apparently). Wonder what else it may work on...

I don't really see how it would keep you from getting Lyme disease. If you're bitten by an infected tick, then you will get it.

I put it outside to kill palmetto bugs... I haven't taken it internally, though.

My LLMD wanted me to take it on the skin for parasitic infections. It was written I have to wear a mask to apply the powder and it will disrupt all parasitic things.
I am also scared and will ask again when I see him next time.
It is not for lyme but most people with lyme also have parasitic problems and it would take care of those.

Bringing this up for opinions... just chatted with someone on facebook about diatomaceous earth and would like opinions after you watch the video on this page:
