Florence1:

Shooting nerve pain first, then joint pain and stiffness. Went from Nuerologist to Rheumatologist. Didn't get the muscle soreness and weakness until after starting Lyme treatment.

for me joint pain first then muscle soreness and weakness later. Probably about a year or more for the muscle weakness and soreness to catch up to the joint pain.

For me just neck pain. No other pain or arthritic-type symptoms. Everything neurological which can result in some stiffness, weakness etc. Mostly instead - tremors, heart palps, over-reactive CNS, muscle twitches, numbness, feeling about to seizure and/or faint etc. etc. etc.

Lots of muscle pain in legs, back and arm. Then some joint pain in elbow and knee but primarily muscle pain.

I went opposite - Rheumy to Neuro. Started out with joint pain, it was my first symptom. All lower joints.

I have had muscle pain and fibro symptoms since 2003. Fourteen months ago my joints started cracking, but didn't hurt. Within the last month, the joints are painful, especially shoulders. Been on abx for 12 mos.

Joint pain in my hands was the first symptom. Spread to major joints and eventually muscles.
