I fell down a few steps on our deck a few weeks ago..I think i landed harder than i would of as I was carrying our 3 yr old......
I twisted my ankle was strapped up for a few days....now it seems my wrists, fingers and ankles are giving me trouble...plus swelling of knuckles.......
i wondered wether something like that could trigger some sort of reaction......

Yes, absolutely. Any stress or trauma to the body that's already under attack from Lyme, can excacerbate existing symptoms and also bring on new ones.

- Most definitely. I used to fall a lot and each time, it was back to square one, at least.
Be sure your adrenal support is good, too. In my experience, it's not just the body structure but also the neuro wiring in the brain and the adrenal shock that starts a cascade of events.
Rest. Nourish. Tai Chi or Qi Gong can help improve balance when you are back on your feet but don't push that. Hold on to railings, etc. Best to not carry toddlers anymore.
Always wear sturdy shoes with a good grip. Hope you heal well. Arnica ointment "TRAUMEEL" can help. -

Physical or mental stress can lower your immune system, and then Lyme can flare up. People who are better sometimes have relapses after injuries or surgery for the same reason.

I think Borrelia love injuries. Not sure why. A easy meal? A mixing of the antibodies? Who knows.
I would like to see someone conduct experiments to see what happens when they are coaxed/induced from outside---
yes lay a slab of fresh kill to pull them out...Don't laugh--the steak on the eye had its uses.
