I have a hiatle hernia and it stated on the drug info sheet that folks with hiatle hernia's should not take Doxy.
Well, a couple of months in I developed severe burning in my stomach and esophogus and was so sick (herxing, etc) that until my husband smelled BLOOD on my breath we didn't figure it out.
I would say if you have GI issues it may be best to try something else OR at lease keep a close watch and change at the first sign of distress. It took me months (and about 25 lbs) to recover from this very painful conditions.
And make sure you don't lay down for at least 30 (or perhaps 60) minutes after you take it. That was another one of my huge mistakes.
