I couldn't find any threads on this -- if these questions are already answered somewhere, just point me to the link please.
My (already terrible) health insurance company will no longer pay for non-generic drugs. I'm researching prescription discount cards. Has anyone used one? Any recommendations about which ones are OK and which to avoid? Other comments? I'm not using any IV drugs -- just pulsing orals.

www.pscard.com is what I used when we did not have insurance. I still could not afford the zith but doxy and other stuff was doable.
It helped me out alot. I had difficulty with the computer so I use to call them and I talked to a live person who helped me find the cheapest sources. It can vary from month to month who has the lowest prices.
Sometimes I had to go to two different places for different things to get the cheapest price.
hope this helps

Also if you go to like CVS or Kroger or Wal-Mart (I don't know about other pharmacies) you can ask them to run it through their discount card. They usually don't offer but if you ask many of them do have discount card they use.
And at Kroger their discount card made my meds like $30 cheaper than what they would have been with either the USA drug plan or the pscard.

There is also a Caremark discount card through CVS. I use it every month on my out of pocket meds. Saves a significant amount.

I know someone who got 3 months of Zithromax, Doxycycline, Nystatin and Flagyl for $335 using the Target pharmacy discount programme.
