A local spring water company delivers distilled water (w/no chlorine & flouride)for $4 bottle...I thought that was great and might help someone else (considering I have been paying $20 for two Pur filters and still get flouride and chlorine)
Although distilled has been stripped of everything I simply add Concen Trace minerals (enough to condition 5 gallons)to put the good back in.
I had a lightbulb moment and realized that there is a sufficient amount of Magnesium, Chloride, Boron, Lithuim and (in addition to the essential 70 trace minerals)
Question: Does anyone think that by drinking this water (with Magnesium) when taken with abx it will weaken the strength of the abx?
Then again, one has to wonder if there might be Magnesium in the public water supply as well...

- If it comes in plastic, you have to be sure it is BPA-free. Glass is best.
You can also get minerals a lot easier from foods.
Get a good water filter for your counter top and save a lot of money and hassle. -

Good point Keebler, I checked on that and they assured me that yes, it is the environmently safe bottle.
That sounds a little vague to me so I am going to call just to be sure
The only problem (that I have found anyway) is that most counter tops filter some chlorine but not the flouride (particle size is too small).
What are your thoughts on the Mag in the H2O?

We just switched over from Katadyn Gravidyn to Berkey. Old one was "oh, okay, certainly better than sink water", and new one is "excellent", in terms of what my energetic testing tells me. Old one was plastic and does not filter fluoride, and new one is stainless steel and does filter fluoride if you want it to (an extra filter does that).
The old one was really bought for camping/outdoors, then the distiller we had died, and it kind of defaulted into a replacement as we were in a lot of transition with living situation and whatnot. Finally got around to getting one we've thought through and are happy with.

I can only recommend it - it tells you about the structure of water which is as important as the biochemical aspect of water. Distilled water is dead water and has no structure left. Maybe read through some of the pages on line -- it is worth a lot to get even a used copy at Amazon.
(The book gives many ideas to help yourself with salt and water. Swansons carries the particular salt as do other places. Be careful what you buy re salt.)
Also look up Emoto's work. Just google and you will find.
The M-Water which Dr. K. uses is another indication about the importance of the structure of the water. All involves frequencies and our body works and reacts to frequencies.
Michael, would you please post the model Berkey you have now and maybe a link to where you got it, price, etc. My old one is about to fall apart and I need to replace it. It would help me.

We bought the "Big Berkey". You see on the link they have a number of models, basically they are all the same except size of the bottom part which affects storage capacity of the filtered water. This size seems to be working well for the two of us. We do keep extra water in old gallon glass containers that once had apple juice. Storage you need all depends on how frequently you want to be paying attention to whether you need to add more water to be filtered.
So we paid the $258, it came with two regular filters plus $54 for two fluoride filters and also bought one "plug" for $4, so total a little over $300.
Units come with 4 holes, 2 filters, and 2 plugs. Each hole needs either a hole or a filter. So sounds like they think a good starter way is to use 2 filters and 2 plugs. We bought extra plug so we only use one regular filter and one fluoride filter at a time, rather than two of each at a time. Regular and fluoride filters connect to each other if you use them both. Basically, the filters last 6 months, so if you use two filters of each filter type at a time, you are paying about $150 every 6 months for filters. If you use one filter of each type at a time, you are paying $150 every 12 months for filters. The more filters you use at a time, the more water will be filtered per second, quicker it will make a gallon of water, but we find the speed using just one filter of each type plenty fast enough.

Michael - I'm trying to figure out what type of filtering Berkey uses. It only seems to say "filter elements", but doesn't give specifics.... at least I can't find any details except vague wording. Maybe I'm missing something??
I've been looking for a good filtration alternative. I was going to go with an RO system then add minerals back in (this is Dr. K's recommendation). But I'm still open to good suggestions.
If you have any other filtration details on the Berkey system that you wouldn't mind posting, that would be great.

Interesting, I could not find this info on their website either. The filter elements themselves are black, so I think they care carbon, although there could easily be more to it than that. I suggest you email or call them to ask. The fluoride filter has a casing so you really can't see it, but that one comes with a paper saying it uses Aluminum Oxide, and goes on to explain why you should be comfortable using such a toxic thing to filter water, including giving figures on how much aluminum filtered water ends up with, compared to other common items we encounter.
