My armpits are achy. They don't necessarily hurt to touch and aren't swollen, they just are achy.

What is this?
Anyone else get this?

I have this.

I'm not 100% sure if I have Lyme disease, but I suspect so. My underarms have ached for nearly 12 months...

I've had it plenty. I say Bartonella is messing with lymph nodes.

I'm guessing it's a Lymph Node issue. They tend to get clogged up.

A Lymph Node massage (by someone who is trained to do it properly) can work wonders. Some people use rebounders (those small trampoline things) to get the Lymphs moving. There are Rife frequencies for this, too. (see rife thread)

The best Lymph Drainage in my opinion is done with the LymphstarPro:

http://www.arcturusstar.com/Lymphstar.php

There are a couple people in my area that use these and they work great for detox and Lymph drainage.

That's from the lymph nodes.

Lymph nodes are where T-cells and other immune system cells activate to fight pathogens. Obviously the best thing to do is get rid of the bug that the lymph nodes are fighting. Of course with Lyme and co's, this is easier said than done. Most of the time, it is not known which bug is causing the activation, and sometimes it's the cumulative effect of more than one.

To relieve the swollen lymph, mojo's suggestions are all good, plus skin brushing. Some sources recommend AGAINST deep tissue massage. You can google skin brushing for instructions on how to do it, which direction to brush, etc.

For underarm nodes, it's good to extend your arms up (reach for the sky) while bouncing on a mini-trampoline to help them drain. If you don't have a trampoline, you can do the same kind of bouncing by bending at the knees and doing short and abrubt down and up motions. This is more exertive and for some might harm their joints if done excessively and also might put them over their exercise threshold. Best to use the trampoline and bounce without it only in a pinch (or until you get one).

I've heard Swedish massages are good.

And I don't use any deodorant as I don't want to clog anything. On days when I need to, I fluff some baking powder under my arms. Sounds weird but works really well.

I actually haven't had this problem for months now.

So is is a lyme symptom though, right? Or is it more of a certain co infection responsible for this?

I do have a trampoline and will try bouncing on it once this darn rain stops!

Thanks for the advice.

My armpits ache and are sore as if I my lymphnodes are swollen.

I often feel as if there is a lump, but I cannot find one.

Sometimes the pain radiates down my entire lymph tract to the elbow. I complained of this to my breast dr. and my primary care dr. and neither one of them felt swollen lymphnodes.

Often the pain is worse when my breasts are sore/lumpy.

Sometimes my armpits feel like they are bruised as if someone has picked me up under my arms.

Definite Bart for me.

I had my lymph nodes cut and drained when contracted bart back in 1976. My lymph nodes were the size of baseballs.

To this day when think I'm having a bart day my lymph nodes in my arm pits hurt and are very sore.

the arm pits are the drains for the lymph nodes if you use a deodorant that has aluminum in it that shuts off the drains.

use a more natural deodorant such as toms of main it allows the sweat to get out thru the pits and carries out the toxins with it.

a trampoline does help, if you can find a massage therapist trained in lymph massage near you I recommend it highly !

this also helps if you have pains in your collarbones i.e in the area where your seat belts sit in the car. try the massage it works wonders for me.
