Almost 12 months ago I started having severe tachycardia when exercising. It took me to ER with a HR of 180bpm for a few hours after the exercise. They said SVT.
Soon after, I started having dizzy spells, seeing stars along with the tachycardia. My heart beat is VERY erratic. The next thing I had was a REALLY sore neck and I couldn't move it for a week.
The heart rate was the main thing that concerned me. I could barely walk down the street without my heart racing out of control.
I saw a cardiologist after having thyroid + everything else checked via blood test.
Cardiologist said I had a murmur with minimal mitral regurgitation, slight left atrial enlargement and hyperdynamic circulation (heart beating too hard).
He said all of this is benign and not to worry but he sent me to an Electrophysiologist regarding the SVT they saw at ER. I ended up having an EP study a month ago with hopeful ablation, but they said they couldn't trigger the extra circuit in my heart and they think I possibly don't have one.
So...here I am, with a heart that is driving me crazy and ruining my life. I've been to ER four times now, the last time was last week, with heart attack like symptoms. I am 22 years old. I have had inverted T waves on my ER trip ECG, and I was seeing stars. I was so sure I was having a heart attack, and my tachycardia was at around 160bpm. It calmed down after fluids, and they let me go. All they found was my Lymph count was low.
My other symptoms...Too many to name, mainly muscle aches, random dizziness, vertigo, headaches, chest pain, my glands ache a lot especially under arms, sometimes I can't stomach food at all and swallowing makes me feel sick. I burp ALL THE TIME and I'm extremely out of breath when walking down the street. I can't keep up with my parents! I keep forgetting simple things like friends names and I have had a runny nose the entire time I have felt ill. My eyes are really blood shot and I can't figure out why. I've had so many tests, I've lost count.
This all started when I was living in Scotland and we had a lot of house mice, little white footed mice that got in to everything! I know they carry ticks, and I am really worried that I got something from a mouse.
I am now in Australia and think I've found a doctor down here which a LLMD from the US recommended to me, so I'll hopefully be seeing them in the next few weeks.
Just wondering if you guys thinks this is Lyme? Has anyone ever thought they were having a heart attack due to lyme, to find out they weren't having a heart attack?
This is the thing that worries me most. My heart beats with such force, and so eratically. I take beta blockers now which helps quite a bit.
Any advice?
I'm quite scared...
I truly feel like I'm fading away.
I had a lyme test here in Australia that said Lyme wasn't detected, but I know that the tests are just absolutely useless unless done by someone who knows what they're doing!

Sure sounds like it to me. I had the 180 BPM tachycardia going on in the spring. It's gone now with proper treatment.
Your other symptoms...been there. Done that. Most are gone today. I'm in my 6th month of treatment.

You might consider taking doxycycline for a month and then retest with Igenex. It sure sounds like it could be.
Any other symptoms?
Many people can look back over the course of the last year and say things like-"I am cold all the time", My feet hurt, I feel my skin crawling, I have hot burning finger/toes, I had severe stomach pains, My joints were sore, I had sudden allergy, etc. etc. that they may have just shrugged off due to work or age...

Babs -- a co infection of lyme will cause your heart to do Exactly what you describe--
It is Super Common here on LN -- if you do a search on heart problems- you will find Hundreds of posts about it --
Also Babs causes Chest pain usually on the left side-- It feels like you are having a heart attack --Its is Very Scary --
Out of the hundreds people that I have seen going to a heart doctor not one of them had heart problems--
It is caused by the cartilage between your rids getting inflamed -- It happened to me also--
But after a while I was not dead so it had to be something else-- then I read a post explaining what was going on --
It lasted around 8 months but because I knew what it was I did not worry--Jay--

I believe Bartonella can also cause heart problems including tachychardia because Bart inhabits the endothelial cells (cells lining your blood vessels). When the vessels become inflamed the heart has to work harder to pump blood throughout the body.
Your GI problems also makes me think Bart. Are your lymph nodes swollen? Particularly the ones at your neck?
I've dealt with the constant runny nose. As for shortness of breath it can be associated with either Bart or Babesia.
I definitely recommend getting tested for both Bartonella and Babesia and getting to a LLMD.

It could be any of the infections. If it was just your heat, then you might suspect something else but with all your other symptoms it sure would be a wise idea to see how abx affects you.
I know of a vet that was in heart failure when he found out it was lyme. He could no longer work. 8 months after starting doxy he was back to work with most symptoms gone.
