Is anybody using these herbs and if so has it helped?

Our LLMD high recommends. My daughter had 7 straight days of virtually no symptoms and the past 2 days have not felt well...muscle aches, headache, GI, and fatigue.

We were at 7 drops 2x daily but I went down to 6 drops once daily till this settles back down. I am hoping its just a herx.

Any thoughts?

Deb G

I think the formula has only become widely available recently. ?? I could be wrong, but I'm guessing this, because I don't think the bottles used to have labels. And the information on his website is dated 5/2010.

http://www.bioresourceinc.com/bwherbal/

A few years ago I got some kind of Byron White formula from a specialist, but it was in a plain hand-labeled bottle. Kind of mysterious.

Just recently, though, my LLMD started recommending A-L Complex, and now the bottle has a fancy commercial label and everything.

Anyway, I haven't tried A-Babs. It does sound like your daughter could be herxing and that backing down to a lower dose is a good idea.

Good luck.

I am doing both A-Babs and A Bart. I can only handle 1 drop of each 2xaday. Be sure u read all info on his site. He says one drop is quite powerful. These r powerful herbs.Backing down on amount will help.I started to high and it wasn't fun.I will ramp up if need be.It does sound like your daughter is herxing. I'm on A-Bab. I'm ramping up the drops to 15 drops twice a day. I know when I do too much and have to drop back down.

I did the a-bart for about 20 days - i did not notice much of anything as i ramped up in about 1 1/2 weeks to 20-25 drops
I then switched to a-babs and ramped up to 25 even faster with not much of a reaction.

I had high hopes for both and my Doctor in Ct said he is having great results since he has been prescribing(about 2 months)

He in fact uses the a-babs and has to take it slow b/c of strong reactions- i think he is around 12 drops in about a 1 1/2 months of using.

By the way, i have never been dx with babs or bart and am very positive for Lyme.
I have been treating for Lyme in one way or another for 5 yrears and because of that i treat for co's also b/c i am not getting better.

Sorry, Deb, I didn't see your post sooner. I just got back from a trip to a rural area - no computer access. Based on what I've read about A-Bab, it sounds like you're doing the right thing backing off a little on the dosage. I still haven't gotten up to 15 drops twice a day (what my LLMD suggested I work up to). Good luck with it.

A couple of years ago, my LLMD in Santa Rosa was using A-Babs before putting people onto Mepron/zith--kind of a ramp-up.

This worked out well for me.

Best,

My husband just started A-BART on Friday. He is ramping up one drop each dose until he gets a herx. He has not been tested for bart but has foot pain so the doc is treating him with the herbs. He will add in doxy and ceftin for lyme (tested positive via Igenex) once he determines the dose he needs for the A-BART.

I see the same group that Cass sees. I think they had the original contract to work with these herbals and you could only get them there.

In any case, I started a-babs when first diagnosed. I didn't think it was doing anything until I stopped it and started feeling worse again.

That was a trial run by my LLMD and instead of proceeding with more of the herbals, he put me right on mepron/zith.

I think, if you are using herbals, these are excellent.
