My dad seems to have many symptoms of lyme and an elisa and western blot were run which both came up negative. IF he does have lyme, he's had it for some time. Would these tests even be useful in a person thats had symptoms for over a year? BAsed on these tests the doctors say he has not got lyme.

And Igenex management says their test may be only 50% accurate. A lot depends on the doctor reading the test.
Somewhere there are posted the bands which indicate Lyme so the patient can read their own test. I know one of y'all have it.
There was a great test at Central Florida Research, but their website says they're not performing any new Lyme tests right now. Not sure why.
I wish your dad well. I, too, had Lyme so long that one of my tests from Igenex was negative, but the bands indicated positive. I had a really good doctor who recognized that.
