I've been pulseing anti-biotics for 3 weeks now, this is my 4th week, which is my off week. I fully expected that I would feel almost normal this week however I don't. I feel more like the weeks I did before I started treatment. Foggy, tired, legs weak, face twitching. What does that mean? Do the bacteria start mutiplying when you stop the meds?

During my 3 weeks of treatment on the days I took my meds I felt good, on a couple of those days I even felt great, esp. on the 3rd week. But the day after was dreadful. I would be dizzy, tired, foggy, emontional, you name it, they were bad days! Is this a typcial reaction?

My liver enzymes are elevated now, so I might have to cut back on my meds. I'm disappointed because I really want to hit them hard and quick. I just want to be normal again.

As always thanks for the help.

How are you pulsing?? Every other day, or what?

you will have a major herx every 3-5 wks... you get no breaks with Lyme treatment! [Razz]

Have you been tested for babesia? If you have coinfections you can go off meds one day and feel worse. Lyme doesn't come back that fast though.

I take my meds m-w-f for 3 weeks, on 3rd week add flagyl th and f, then I'm off a week. This has been my off week, I've only treated for 3 weeks.

I've not been tested for babesia or any co-infections. I think my llmd said that at the end of 2 months if I'm not 100% we will start treating for co-infections.
