My 16 yo daughter also has this co-infection. She is on doxy 200mg 2x day and has been for several months. She also has Lyme, Babs, Bart.
She is also on oxygen and nebulized glutithione.
I am not sure how long she will be on doxy, but certainly longer than 14 days. I haven't been able to find much on the length of treatment for this, but assume with the Lyme Soup that she will be in treatment longer than she would be if it was just Erlichia.
Does she have a LLMD? If not, I would do whatever it takes to get her seen so that it can be addressed and treated properly. I am so sorry to hear that your granddaughter is ill. Best wishes to you and your family.

Has she been tested for Lyme and co-infections? It's odd that she would just have erlichia alone. I would take her to an LLMD to see what else she might have.

I wouldn't trust protocol as well. It's WRONG. Your granddaughter definitely needs an LLMD. And there aren't any in Oklahoma. I'd post up in the seeking a doctor forum and see where that leads you. And good luck..I'm so sorry your granddaughter is sick.

Thanks everyone. I plan to call Dr C who happens to be my Dr. Ive been doing much better since he put me on Zith. This was such a blow to me yesterday when the test results came back. It didn't show lyme, but it did hit on E C and the R Arthritus was high.
