I'm not sure I understand the details, but Rosner's book Lime Disease and Rife Machines says that mercury and lyme basically hang out together so as you get rid of lyme, you can also inadvertantly release mercury into your body. I suppose the reverse would also be true.

It is my understanding from reputable sources that heavy metals are released when borrelia is killed.
There is a relationship between heavy metals and borrelia as evidenced by a study on mice that has been posted here many times.
Also there are studies about the environment (mainly bodies of water) and heavy metals/bacteria that establish a relationship between bacteria (other types besides borrelia) and heavy metals.
In general, it is harder to get rid of bacteria in the presence of heavy metals. The mice study showed that in the presence of sub toxic levels of mercury, borrelia was harder to get rid of.
That said, there is an overlap between heavy metal symptoms and chronic lyme symptoms. Heavy metal mobilization and excretion is very tricky. Trickier still for those with KPU or certain methylation issues.
You may have mobilized heavy metals and instead of binding and excreting them, you may have moved them around in your body to less desirable places than they were in before you started treating for heavy metals. This scenario can cause lots of symptoms including bringing your immune system down enough to perhaps cause a of flare of underlying infections.
GIGI has posted a lot of info here in the past about heavy metals so a search of the archives seems like it would be very useful to you.

Can I ask, what is a good, or the BEST way to detox MErcury? I got tested a little while back and my levels are very high.

Best to do it under a dr's care. My LLMD gave me IV's with a DMPS "push".
My Lyme didn't flare but my sister got sicker while chelating because she has a yeast issue. Mercury binds with yeast, too.
Some NP's will do chelating, too.
