I have very sore ribs, mainly on my very bottom rib on each side of my rib cage.
Is this babs?
I ended up in ER yesterday with the worst palpitations I've had. My heart felt like it was really struggling, it was palpitating in the true sense of the word, and it was hitting my chest wall. I've never been in so much pain. I'm petrified to sleep now, because it happened during a dream and when I woke up, my heart was going off the charts. In the dream it was like my heart stopped for a second, and I felt this falling sensation.
How do I stop myself from going to ER when this happens? I've been five times all up now. It feels instinctual to call an ambulance when you have severe symptoms.
*Sigh*
Must keep going.

My heart always stays in normal rhythm, it's just it beats so hard that it hurts and it's VERY rapid.
I've had many echoes and ECG's, all normal sinus, just tachycardic. Had ECG's at the hospital and all clear.
I'm currently doing a 24 hour urine test because I get flushes when the tachycardia comes on and my BP spikes, as well as I always need to rush to the bathroom after [sorry for details]
They said this is common with adrenal issues and/or growths. It also happened at 3am which is apparently a time when your adrenals peak if you have a problem. Who knows. I could be getting flooded with cortisol or something all at the wrong time.
I'm just sick of being scared.

Well, I'm glad they have thoroughly checked out your heart.
Yes, it does sound like some cortisol/adrenal problems. Hope you get it all sorted out.

Have you had an ultrasound done to check valves, flow, etc.? What about a bubble test? (=> to make sure that blood flow from one part isn't leaking into another when the valves are shut; my LLMD made me get this test b/c she said she has seen several Lyme patients with holes in their hearts.)
When I used to have panic attacks, I'd get facial flushing along with the palps. But the palps didn't hurt me that badly if at all other than just a little tiny bit of ribcage pain afterwards.
Either way, your symptoms sound scary- I'd be running to the ER, too! Better to be safe. I think you should get into see someone- your LLMD or a cardio doc about this.

I was having the same type of problem that you describe--attacks with rapid heart rate, flushing, high bp that would often happen in the middle of the night. I also would get bad shaking and panicky type feelings (and sometimes would need to rush to the bathroom).
It turned out to be hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). After I discovered that hypoglycemia could be the problem (thanks to Keebler, Canefan and others here), I tried getting up and drinking about 4 oz. of apple juice when I next had an attack--within 10 minutes my heart slowed down and I felt much better.
I had several ER visits when this happened, but no one was able to figure out what was causing the problem because by the time I got to the ER I'd already had the adrenaline rush that would bring my blood sugar back up.
I have recently increased my magnesium intake (I switched to the mag tab sr's recommended by Dr. B in his guidelines) and it seems to have made a huge difference in keeping my blood sugar under control, and I feel much better.

ATP supplement is supposed to be good for the heart.
You might try electrolyte mixes and ATP to give the muscle what it needs.
If they don't work I would find a Lyme literate Cardiologist to figure it out.
