I am a new member seeking LLMDs in Maryland. I have been seeking answers to my numerous, seemingly unrelated problems for years. The most constant are heart palpitations, constipation, insomnia, memory and word problems, tiredness, muscle weakness and more recently constantly achy and sometimes slightly swollen finger joints. Sometimes I feel so exhausted, I feel difficulty even getting out of bed.

For the past day I've been experiencing the most annoying right eye twitch which seems to also be causing a headache on the same (right side) of my head! This is what finally led me to this site.

Please list the highest rated LLMDs as possible. Years ago I suspected Lymes. I spent a week in bed with a stiff neck, achy back and swollen and very painful joints. It hurt just to walk. I was tested for Lymes but was not treated because the test came back negative. I worry that irreparable damage may've resulted in so many years with non-diagnosis.

Thank so much for your help!

Welcome to Lymenet [hi]

Please check your Private Messages for the Lyme Literate Medical Doctor list that you have requested, along with Dr. B's guidelines and other on-line referral links and information that will offer you a starting off point to guide you through the process of selecting an LLMD.

Your local support group can be found on the left hand side of this web page, as well as on the top of the LLMD list that you have been provided. Your local support group is an excellent resource for information and we encourage you to contact them for additional input.

Also, please feel free to join in on the discussion in our medical section, where we have many members ready to share their experience and knowledge about this illness with you.
