Hi thank you for reponding I'm very new to the computer so please forgive me. but i am not new to lyme disease,we live in visalia california i have a 25 year old daughter who is being treated for LD,also my second go around with LD.Since 2004 the way we found out was our mother was DX
in late 2003 so this started a chain reaction of my self my 2 daughters and 3 brothers and 1 sister.. in which all were positive western blots except 1 brother had the local test which was neg. and my sister had already been DX with lupus for awhile so LD DR.did'nt want to over DX her... DOES ANY OF THIS MAKE SINCE.. we travel now 3 and half hours to see LD DR and need someone a bit closer since my daughter has medical and medicare, we pay out quite a bit of money!!I could write all nite thanks
everyone..

Sounds like you have a whole family to deal with here -

Re your brother's test turning out negative - people don't always test positive for Lyme even tho they have it. If the lab is not the best, that can also cause a negative result. IGeneX lab is a top lab - www.IGeneX.com - for the IgM and IgG Western blot antibody tests.

Also, lupus can be a presentation of Lyme.
