I have a friend with rheumatoid arthritis who is considering a new rheumatologist in Philly. He's a top 100 doctor who lists lyme as a specialty, but I haven't heard much about him before. I encouraged her to seek a lyme consult. Does anyone know whether or not this person might have a llmd friendly perspective?

I don't know. But, I encourage everyone when they call an office to make a lyme appt to ask if the doctor follows the Burrascano protocol. If they say "yes" then make the appt. If they say "what? or the bur-what?" or laugh, then forget it.
You can also ask if the doc is a member of ILADS.
Either of these questions will separate the real lyme docs from those who follow the "conventional wisdom" (not) put out by the IDSA that does not get people well from lyme disease.
