I have been lurking on this forum since I was diagnosed with Lyme back in October. My tests came back indicating that I had acute Lyme.
My Dr. has put me on all kinds of antibiotics and such, but as of three weeks ago she declared that I would have to wait and see if the treatments worked. I have been out of work since August, and the fatigue is still very strong.
I was diagnosed with Chronic Epstein Barr since I was 12. My Dr. seems to think that it is simply post Lyme and CEBV. I would like to find an LLMD. I want to cover all of my bases.
I know that it is rare to contract Lyme in CA, and I am willing to travel. I was hoping that someone would have some insight into where I can find a good LLMD.
I appreciate any help. Thank you. Posts: 13 | From Los Angeles, CA | Registered: Feb 2010

Hi - actually, it is not rare to contract Lyme in California - it is spreading all over the state, unfortunately. Tick infection rate varies by area.
Our California site, at www.lymedisease.org features a couple blogs. One is called Touched By Lyme and there's one entry there about Californians being polled as to where they contracted Lyme in California.
All of us need tick repellent if we are going to be in contact with vegetation and wood. indoor-outdoor pets need protection too.
Am pm'ing you.
