Ask those in the support groups near you, and then moving out in a circle - or where you have friends or family where you could stay overnight or a few days.

Support Group locator.

--------

I would NOT call BC/BS or otherwise inquire where they would have your name or insurance number as most insurances companies that do cover lyme don't like to do so for very long. If you red flag yourself, you could get cut off sooner.

There are a few LLMDs out there who do take insurance and some with patients who have managed to get coverage. Just be very quiet about your inquiry if there are insurance "ears" around.

Even if you don't find a LLMD with BC/BS coverage, you might find one who is lyme friendly (as in willing to work with your LLMD with some monitoring tests & some prescriptions). Most of them must also "fly under the radar" as well. Support groups will be your main key to discovery.

Hi, [hi] Lyn--I sent you a pm.

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.

Kristy,

If you are still using your last name as your web name, I'd delete the name of your insurance company in the previous post.

If you can change your web name - that would be best for security reasons. Insurance companies love to deny treatment for lyme. Everyone does searches now - insurance companies, future or current employers (who don't want to cover lyme insurance either) -

I can't be clear baucher is your last name but, if it is, please take necessary security precautions so that nothing can mess up your coverage - or your future - if someone googles your name.

I have a LLMD in PA (York) who takes BC/BS. Send me a private message if this is not too far for you.
