My name is Allison, Im 29 years old and recently diagnosed with lyme disease after several years of being in horrible pain and having all of the symptoms associated with chronic lyme disease. I also have metabolic myopathy, a tumor (benign) on my pituitary gland, and thyroid cancer (had my thryoid out in 99 and am on meds now for life). I am in severe pain and each doctor I go to is brushing me off, telling me to keep taking antibiotics (did a month long treatment which did nothing - I am still in horrible pain in my joints, muscles, head plus blurred vision, hearing problems, brain fog, exhausted all the time but can't sleep because of the pain...etc).
Any help would be most appreciated. I have Keystone East HMO/POS.
Thank you! Allison

Hi Allison - you will need to see an LLMD for some treatment. When we find the tx that works, the pain will go down.
For example, I presented with fibromyalgia pain and it went down just about completely after a week's time when I started taking clindamycin antibiotics, 150mg every 4x/day for a month, then dropped back to 150mg 2x/day.
We're all different when it comes to which meds we respond to.
Your pituitary mention caught my eye. I had surgery for a suspected pit tumor that turned out to be hyperplasia and not a tumor. I have had an elevated prolactin count. Am curious whether you have a high prolactin count - ?
I take abx plus three antioxidants and my prolactin count is now dropping, which shows that my treatments are also treating the brain.
Re eyes - I drink mangosteen juice which stops all my eye symptoms. It's an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory juice that counteracts the inflammation in our body.
I drink the Ultra version with 70 minerals added. There are lots of juice versions. We have a big thread on it here. If you use the search box at the top and type in mangosteen, it'll bring up our discussion.
If you try the juice, go slow and drink a lot of water too.
