On about Jan. 3rd I had the bull's eye rash on my leg. The edge had tiny red bumps/blisters. It was mis-diagnosed as ringworm, but dissappeared anyway after about 30 days. 2 weeks ago the bull's eye returned in the same location. From there it quickly spread to the other leg. This new cluster as well as the others that have since appeared on my hands, shoulders, ears, face, and hip bones, do not look like the original infection. They itch intensely. They became painful today and are spreading by the hour! They ooze a clear discharge.
My doctor didn't know what this was (3 visits with him total) I mentioned lyme and he laughed at me. He was convinced this was an allergic reaction. So he prescribed steriods and pills and creams. I told him I removed anything that might have caused an allergic reaction weeks ago. He patted me on the back, handed me the prescriptions, and told me, "Try this out now... if the rash persists, stop wasting your money with me. Well... here's a dermatologist that may help. Good luck!" Oh yeah, and he REFUSED to test me for Lyme disease.
I am frightened after researching Lyme disease. I have a wife and 5 month old daughter. I need answers from someone that knows this topic well! I live in Kansas CIty, Missouri. Are there any LLMD's nearby? If not, I'll drive as far as necessary!
Please help!

OMG!!!! Do NOT take the steroids, PLEASE!!!!!!!! The lyme will spread like wildfire.
I would NEVER return to that dr .. he is nuts. Seriously. He should know what a bullseye looks like.
Take pictures of the rash ASAP!!! Put something next to the rash like a ruler or a coin to show the size. Then another pic with the date of a newspaper next to the rash.
You may need this later for proof. A bulleye rash is DIAGNOSTIC OF LYME .. no test is even needed. But you need proof you had one.
Can you go to an urgent care or walk in clinic to get some doxycycline? Go to several if you have to!
I'll PM you some info on a dr in MO and other tips.
READ, READ, READ on this site so you are armed with knowledge!!!
here is another site to find info.. very well organized info:
