I'm worried since I've heard of two separate patients having difficulty getting a response from Dr. J's new office in DC over the past few weeks after they'd left repeated messages. One is a new patient and one an existing patient. I heard this after I wasn't able to get through a looping phone tree myself.

Is the office still open? Are they accepting new patients? I know there was a major snowstorm, but would that explain not answering phones or calling patients back? I hope everything is okay with all he's going through.

There have been 2 huge snowstorms in the DC area in the past couple of weeks so not surprised if his office was closed for several days.

Is it possible that they are backed up and trying to play catch up w/ all the messages? Wasn't he commuting every couple of weeks between DC and NC too?

I've not seen any information on the local Lyme blogs referencing anything amiss.

Thanks to all for replying. I heard from another patient in the DC area who has been having trouble like nurses not responding in an emergency and appointment problems. A second patient said a staff member called from home during the worst snow storm and promised to call back the next day with instructions, but then weeks went by and the patient didn't hear anything more. Another patient who was in the office a month ago described it as chaotic. The problems seem to go beyond weather difficulties, though I'm sure that's not helping. I just wish I knew what was happening. It's very disconcerting.
