I first got Lyme when I was 8 years old. They misdiagnosed me and started treatment a couple of weeks after initial infection with oral antibiotics. I relapsed or was bitten again (was not concluded) when I was 11 years old. I was treated through IV. Over the years, I have experienced occasional symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, joint pain, insomnia, anxiety, and sometimes severe heart palpitations.

I am 23, turning 24 in June, and have recently experienced some high levels of anxiety, fatigue, depression, and headaches. I wake up every morning with a racing heart beat, headache, and low energy. My hands even shake. My regular physician has prescribed 50 mg Zoloft/day and .25mg Xanax when needed. I have only been on the medication for about 2 weeks now. No significant improvements yet (I know it takes 4 to 6 weeks for full effects). I also started birth control in November.

Could this be a result of my Lyme Disease past? Please help me.
