I have an upcoming appointment with Dr J (in DC) and would appreciate any feedback about how to make the most of my
initial 2 hour visit, especially form those of you who have seen him. My local lyme MD is frustrated with my lack of progress
over the last 2 1/2 years and has recommended I see Dr J as he feels he is one of the best. Thank you in advance, and thank
you all for being here, this site has been a lifeline for me over the last 3 years of illness.

Hi, Peter and WELCOME to our lyme site. We're glad you came to us for help.
I have sent you a private message (pm), click on the flashing envelope.
Also, check out our great "Medical Questions" forum where you can ask all the questions you might have and our wonderful, knowledgeable members will answer them. Just read some of the threads and you'll see just how informative they are!

When is your appointment? Really all you need to do is fill out all those forms (and send them ahead of time so they can put your file together...keep a copy though!) and also make sure you bring ALL your lab results and other medical records.
If you want to do more prep, I can give you some ideas. I'll be pretty busy this week but want to to make sure to answer your questions before your appt.
And your current doctor is right...Dr. J is def one of the best! Some of us think he's THE BEST! Posts: 408 | From California | Registered: Apr 2008

Appointment is April 8th. I am waiting for all his paperwork. It is a hike for me to get to DC so I want to make the most of it. I have all my labs etc from the last 5 years. I assume he will want to run his own too? I am hoping he may be able to verify wether I am fighting chronic babesia as well as lyme. Thank you peter
