Its been a million years since Ive been on here, so hello again! I have a friend in St. Lucie FL whose daughter has been diagnosed with Rasmussen's disease. Does anyone know of someone who had a misdiagnosis of Rasmussens and then it turns out to be lyme (yah, what doesnt, right?) She has many seizures and the prognosis is better if she has brain surgery. Some of the symptoms seem like it could be lyme. Any responses or info that anyone can tell me might save this little girls life. She is very willing to check lyme/coinfections to "rule it out"
Thanks everyone in advance for taking some time with this post!

Hi, Nan--I think what you are doing for a little girl says a lot about you and what a true friend you are. Thank you for helping someone get the proper testing and treatment they need. I agree that lyme disease could be a possibility here.
Let us know how things turn out for your friend and the little girl please. We will be thinking of her and praying for them.

Aww...thanks Siciliano I have been down that long lyme and coinfections road, and will do anything to help someone who may be at the begining of that road. Thanks so much for your encouragement, and the info!
