Several people have mentioned to me how good they believe Dr. F in Maryland is, especially with complex cases.

I believe, based upon my health history, I've been infected for over 20 years, thus my case is very complex, which has lead to me developing deep and numerous secondary health problems, so to say. As a result, since I started treating, in late 2005, I've experienced many problems taking antibiotics and supplements, where two have been very acute, severe, and long lasting.

I've been able to uncover some things, which are wrong with me. While some of them are genetic, others are the result of the toll me being infected for so long and not being treated have taken on my body. I feel like I still haven't gotten to the bottom of everything genetic or otherwise, which is standing in my way of treatment and subsequent healing. For example, I have a large variety of multiple chemical sensitivities, as well as very poor detoxification, along with the HLA-DR4 genotype, etc.

I've been told, by a few people who see him and also have complex cases, he's really good at figuring out and treating for them, which has helped or is helping them with them alot. I'm quite impressed with hearing that, as well as he's a LLMD that's a Certified Nutritional Therapist.

Could you please send me a private message, detailing anything, both good and/or bad, about anything you or anyone else you know has or has had to say about him, which you can think of? That includes anyone who and/or anyone who knows someone who has seen or is seeing him now, plus anyone who is planning to see him.

I'm sicker than I've ever been, since I was diagnosed and started treating, so it would be a hard trip for me to make to see him, but I'm willing to travel the long distance to do so, if I receive some good feedback letting me know he's really worth it. I just don't have a lot of finances, time, nor effort to waste, especially if something really good isn't likely to come out of me seeing him.

I feel so awful asking, but could you please, if you live near his office, be willing to let me stay overnight with you and/or take me to see him, once I get to the area, given you have the ability to do so? If so, could you please let me know? If not, could you, at least, please give me some suggestions about some very reasonably priced and safe places to stay near there and transportation options to get around there? Even if you don't live near his office, thus have to travel a short or long while to see him, could you please let me know too.

If I do actually end up seeing him, I believe, I can get a free medical flight, to the airport closest to his office. It will be very hard for me to afford the cost of my visit with him, plus any tests he wants to order, as well as any medications and/or supplements he wants me to take. Given that, I'd sincerely appreciate any help anyone can give me with my decision to make an appointment with him and especially once I get to the area.

If you know of any other LLMD you believe is as good as or even better than he is, especially when it comes to successfully treating complex cases, could you please let me know, so I can consider seeing them instead? Given my financial situation, being desperately sick, having a complex case, and not knowing who to turn to for the best help, including not having an LLMD nearby, it's proving to be a huge hurdle for me to overcome, to figure out everything I've stated; thus, I'll be very grateful for any help anyone can give me.

Thank you so much.

Jennie

The most important thing you need to know about this doc in my opinion is that he rarely does phone consults -- will require frequent visits. At least monthly to start. Hubby has been able to stretch his visits out to 6 weeks after about the first 6 months.

The doc started hubby on very low dose meds and gradually increased them, and has gotten much more aggressive as time has gone by.

For hubby at least the doc has not ordered that much testing -- actually we frequently request things ourselves and the doc usually goes along with what we want. He does require routine bloodwork -- we had him write standing orders and then hubby gets it done every 2 or 3 weeks at the local hospital out patient blood lab.

We were happier when the herbalist was also in the same practice as we saw both the doc and herbalist. We have done several phone consults with the herbalist since she moved her practice, but it was obviously more convenient when we could schedule appointments at the same time and location.

The one concern I have is that the practice is changing somewhat and in the future more reliance will be placed on the physicians assitants. There are 4 now in the practice -- it would be very important that you had a good relationship with them as well as the doc.
