I've had LD for over twenty years.

I live in San Francisco.

I used to fly out to see Dr. B in NY State. Then he became too famous so I started seeing Dr. S in SF ten years ago. He has been wonderful to me in the past and I will always be grateful to him.

However, for reasons unknown to me, he is no longer taking good care of me; calls go unanswered for days, even when I am having scary symptoms and don't know what to do. It saddens me, but perhaps he just doesn't want someone as sick as me in his practice or perhaps he, too, has become so famous or busy that he can't give the care he used to.

I do not wish to be a burden to him or his practice.

I am scared about trying to find a new Lyme doc since I have seen two famous ones; scared that docs will wonder why after 20 years I have to change again or maybe they'll think I'm a "difficult" patient. Or maybe they just won't take on a Dr. S patient.

I need help and advice, both on who I can go to now and also how to handle this situation. It's been going on for several months and I deserve good medical treatment and also do not want to be a pest to Dr.S.

Thanks,

I sent you a pm.

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.
