Please, I need contact info for Dr. J in CT!!! (phone, location.)
I posted about a friend of mine who has a very sick 13 year old. At 11, she had a tick and a bull's eye. Was treated w/ abx. for 2 weeks. A week later had swollen knee, was treated for 2 years as ped. arthritis patient w/ steriods.
I suggested Dr. C in PA, pediatric LLMD and the mom made an appt. - 9 mo. wait list.
Three weeks ago the girl weighed 57lbs, today 50lbs. Her mom says her daughter is disappearing. She doesn't want to eat. She doesn't ask questions any more. She must be carried everywhere, she must be fed, wiped, everything.
Please help! There is little time!!!
Also, the mom is a single mom, was let go from her job 3 weeks ago (downsizing) and insurance runs out next Wednesday. Any ideas?

I've been doing research. Unfortunately many doctors are treating Lymes as other diseases and STEROIDS are CONTRAINDICATED in Lymes because it reduces the immune response and the body heals slower while causing more problems with Lymes. They need to get her off the steroids!!! Here is a great article to read http://autoimmunityresearch.org/lyme-disease/ All the best for this little girl.
