I have one sone with chronic Lyme curretly being treat by Dr. J down in New Haven, CT. His twin brother (10 years) was bittenby two ticks in the past two weeks. last one on upper thigh one week ago. He now has swollen lymph nodes in his groin and neck and has been running low grade (99-100) fevers for 3 days. Took him to doctor last night and his blood work came back negative. I'm certain he has it and looking for someone in the Boston area who will see him relatively soon to start Doxycycline until we see Dr. J again in August. Please any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not aware of any Pediatric LLMD's in the Boston area. Why don't you call Support Groups in your area. They may have recommendations for you.

There's a link on the upper left side of this page for Support Groups. Call rather than email if a phone number is listed for a contact person.

Another suggestion: The Lyme Disease Self Help Group Of Greater Boston. You can also contact 1-866-LYMEHELP (1-866-596-3435) for further information.

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.
