We have a slightly different question... We've had Lyme for a many years, and have a great LLMD on the West coast. We don't want to change LLMDs.
However, we now live in Minnesota, and need to find doctors who are within insurance networks to work with our LLMD so that we can have meds and procedures covered. My boyfriend is needing to go on extended IV, and we just can't afford it.
We need a primary care doc, or internist, or whatever, who could be the in-network doc for my boyfriend. We aren't sure which network we'll end up in (we're in the middle of losing COBRA, so dealing with the high-risk pool stuff right now), but probably either HealthNet or Medica. Possibly Cigna.
I've posted on the MN-Lyme site, and found a great in-network ob-gyn that way, but no solution for my boyfriend. We have gotten a couple suggestions of LLMDs here, but either they don't take insurance or aren't in-network, so it doesn't deal with our issue.
What we're looking for may not exist.... but if anyone has info on lyme literate docs in MN, we'd really appreciate it.
thanks much, flossie

Have you tried calling Minnesota support groups? There's a link on the upper left side of this page. They often have the information that you're looking for.
