Hello: I have suffered from Lyme for 4 years and my dr.s pooh pooh it. Can you suggest LLMD in eastern MA in Boston area or even Worcester? I was told UMASS Medical infectious disease doctors know what they are doing in this area but would appreciate any info on that or other suggestions. Really sick right now and cannot get help from my primary care or other doctors. Many many thanks for any leads.

I have not heard that about UMass infectious disease doctors. If that is actually true, it would be good to know--maybe someone else can provide insight.

I will PM you with the name of Md closest to you who is not carried by major medical. So the cost would be out-of-pocket.

It's slim pickins out there.

Kirk,

It's probably best to start your own thread in the seeking doctor section. Inquiring on existing thread may limit the responses.

also: for newbies, be sure to check your the Private Messages (flashing icon) in your inbox as doctors names and info are not posted publicly.

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.

Have you tried http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/massachusettslyme ? There's a very active group in MA - they just passed a dr protection law!
