Last autumn I caught a Lyme infection right in the first few months, just by chance. I already have spine issues and some minor protrusion of my cerebral tonsils through the formen magnum (ie, my brain is slightly stopping up the hole at the back of my skull). Add some extra brain swelling to that, and YOWEEE. The headaches were terrible and unyielding, and I had to stay flat on my back for three months due to the throbbing pressure.

I went on the standard month of antibiotic tablets, and felt better. Some intermittant headaches remained, and I investigated with my doctor, but he said that the Lyme was gone. Another few weeks, and the headaches went away.

But now, six months later, the headache is returning.

I have a host of other neurological issues already, and this really complicates things.

I'd really like a doctor who knows his stuff. Unfortunately, I don't drive, so as close to the Summit area as possible, or someplace easily accessible by train would be fabulous.

Thank you for reading.

Oh, and I'm not financially able to see doctors outside of my health plan, so hopefully recommended doctors would accept Horizon HMO?

I'm sorry but I am no longer accepting any private messages due to my own battle with lyme.
