Hi there, I saw a new general physician about my continued aches and pains (ongoing for 4 years or so) and my returned depression, she tested me for lyme and arthritis and a battery of other tests.
My previous dr treated me for depression and attributed my aches and pains from low activity level after leaving collegiate soccer.
Lyme came back positive, arthritis negative and I'm vitamin D deficient. She said it happened in the previous month or 2 based on the antibodies present. She put me on Doxy for 3 weeks at 100mg.
Now that treatments over she doesn't know what to do for me since my syptoms were never extreme and are no different after treatment than they had been previous years.
I'd like to see a Lyme specialist in CT now to make sure it was treated and to better understand the possibility that I may have had it for years and only recently got reinfected. And whether or not how I feel can be 'fixed'
