Looking for a doctor in New Orleans, LA. I'm aware of a doctor in Dr F. in Pineville, LA but I'm hoping to find someone closer than 4 hrs away. I had a Lyme tick as a child, treated with antibiotics. Since then I've had and treated Hep C- no longer test positive, and I've had mono in the past year for the 2nd and 3rd time in my life. Doctors diagnose my current joint/muscle pains, numbness & tingling, fatigue, mental sluggishness as post viral CFS. I've tested negative for Lyme with the crappy standard ELISA test and I'm looking to have further testing done. Do I need to have this testing done before I can see a specialist?

www.igenex.com

Call & they will send a free collection kit. A Lyme western blot test for IgG & IgM would be a good start. Ask (insist) that your local doctor orders the tests.

This way, maybe, you will already have your results when you see a Lyme doc. It may take some time to get an appt.

Make sure and get a copy of your test.

"post viral CFS"-that's a new one-what cr*p

For a quick and free symptom checklist go to www.canlyme.com and click on symptoms, then tally yours.
