Please Help! I Need a LL Neurologist in NJ. Seems so difficult to find a doc who is willing to LISTEN and work WITH you towards better health.

I just went to a Neurologist at a NeuroScience Cntr in Morristown(Dr.C) who is touted as a top LL Neurologist. I left there in tears, with no answers or progress, just feeling sicker, beat up and more discouraged!

He was mocking (laughing at my inability to remember things or do math problems on the spot), dismissive, degrading and had an agenda to stick to so he continued to speak regardless of me trying to speak. He answered his own questions and then dictated his letter to my LLMD while I was sitting there.

Much of the info he was providing was not accurate as he is the one that answered the questions. He had already decided on a diagnosis and then provided the answers that would meet that criteria. It was the most bizarre and disturbing doctors visit I have ever experienced in my 47 years on this planet.

I actually had an "episode" in his office and told him "it's happening right now". Any good doc would be interested in being able to actually observed what happens. He ignored me and plowed on through with his agenda, telling me which meds to take, without any discussion of why and what for.

When I asked for more info he became sarcastic and said he guessed I didnt want to feel better and then said...OK...as he wrote..."Patient doesnt want pills" HOW is this treatment allowed?

So many people are scared and sick and vulnerable like me, but I think that in that fear, people will accept that behavior thinking this person, this doctor, knows best. It isn't SO!

I want nothing of my records in that man's office. I dont want copies of my file...I WANT MY ENTIRE FILE out of there. Can I obtain that?

I need a neurologist who is willing to listen and respect that I know my body and mind better than anyone out there, but I need his expertise for diagnosis and treatment.

Can anyone help? I'm willing to go to PA and NY too. My LLMD is Dr. E in Flemmington. That is the sort of Doc I'm looking for...one who listens and leaves his ego outside so there is room for the patient! Thanks!
