When first diagnosed w/ LD two months ago I joined several Internet forums (Yahoo Lyme in VA, Lymenet, Lyme Connect, Daily Strength and MDJunction) and asked for recommedations in my area for LLMD's.
I received individual names as well as specialized lists with numerous drs.that including feedback of patient's experiences.
Though I greatly appreciated the information much of the information on the specialized listing was outdated. Out of 24 drs. I called only a handful were still taking new patients.
How can we updated these valuable lists?

But what happens if down the road the doctor then starts accepting new patients?

littlebit27 is correct. Not accepting new patients is temporary, not permanent. So, at any given time one can call and find that they are or are not accepting new patients.
The best thing to do is to periodically call and check. So, the lists do not need to be updated for the reason I stated.
