I'm 42, female. Have experienced a variety of issues - painful, swollen hands, fingers, feet. Now my knees and elbows are stiff and painful too. These issues began almost 2 years ago. Tested by doctors for rheumatioid arthritis but was told they didn't find anything. Even so, am now declined health insurance because I was tested for it. Please suggest LLMD in Atlanta GA.

There are no LLMD's in GA, that is a very tough state. My daughter and I contracted it there.
You will need to go to the Georgia Lyme Disease website and contact them. They need to hear your story and will hopefully be able to guide you in some direction.

Hollyanna, I live in GA too and have been looking for a LLMD. I found a supposed lyme knowledgeable rheumatologist Dr clost to Atlanta. I went there and got some antibiotics but they weren't very helpful in my opinion. And they were super expensive and wouldn't take insurance. Have you found a LLMD yet? Please let me know. Thanks

I also live in GA, there are LLMDs just not great ones. Some who will treat patients who are not extremely sick and some who won't.
