First symptoms in Feb of this year. Tests finally determined it was Lyme in May. Physically I feel most of my strength is back after iv doxycycline treatments. Treatment ended in August. Since then, I'm transposing numbers, having difficulty following conversations, short term memory loss, stuttering.

It is frustrating - I feel like time is becoming more precious. I don't want to accept having to 'function' this way.

Hi, I am sorry to hear you are still having symptoms after iv treatment. My hubby was diagnosed in 2008 and has just completed a 6 month cycle of Malarone that was supposed to be the silver bullet. It didn't work and he is worse off now than before. The doctor said that one of the only things left he can do is put David on the iv treatment. But he did say that there was risk of damage to the liver. Were you ok? Did the meds affect your liver or cause anything else to go wrong? I am sure you understand how scary this is for us and we are getting pretty desperate. How was your experience with the iv treatment?
