I'm a 67 year old man, recently diagnosed with Rocky Mt. Spotted Fever. I had a perfect bullseye rash at the spot of a tick bite (that wasn't completely removed) about a month ago. I've had no symptoms, but with the general aches and pains of arthritis and aging it's hard to differentiate. I went to my primary care physician at my wife's insistence and asked for specific tests for Lyme disease recommended by Dr. William's Alternative Health newsletter. She ordered different tests, which all came back negative except for RMSF. Since the bullseye rash was diffused by the time I saw her she didn't think it was Lyme. I really need a specialist who will do the proper testing and treatment. Thanks for any referral.
