I have great insurance... so far so good. And I want to find a LLMD for adults who takes insurance. I am in upstate NY. I will travel anywhere in the US for a good doc who takes insurance.
I am aware that doctors who take insurance have their hands tied by the insurance companies as far as treatment goes. Mine seems to be pre-approving everything we ask of them for my son. I will cross the bridge of self-pay when I have to. Right now, I want insurance to pay.
I have been so lucky with my pediatrician. Every visit is a small co-pay and we have a great doctor! Please, there has to be an adult doc treating lyme patients with love!
Thanks in advance. Any and all suggestions welcome. I love warm places! Especially in the winter!

Thanks for the PMs! I keep getting reminded to get myself checked. I'll try the east coast recommendations first... CA would be a nice escape.
Looks like I have a choice... a 6 hour car ride or a 3 hour ride to the airport and then a 6 hour plane trip. I think I will have to skip the much needed vacation to warm weather and see the doctor within driving distance.
Thanks for the recommendations... still could use more options. If anybody else has a good LLMD that takes insurance, PM me please!
