Just need help finding a Lyme literate doctor in the Denver Metro area. I live in Parker, CO but hail from New England (Connecticut). I returned on 08/19/10 from CT and Cape Cod and noticed a very small( 1 inch diameter) bulls eye rash 7 days later that disappeared after about 2 weeks. I actually remember feeling like I had been bitten by something right above my left breast (of all places)while outdoors at my family's home in Connecticut. Went to family practice upon return to Colorado and had a Lyme AB W/Rflx Western Blot test done (performed on 8/29/10) when rash still visible. Test came back negative. Don't have much confidence in this MD for Lymes Disease stuff...she had to look info up on computer, and just performed one test (?) Was it the right one? Now, 3 months later, have problems with right knee joint and joint popping/pain/swelling in my thumbs especially...that was never there before. General feeling of mildly achy joints (except for hands which are quite achy), though I'm 39 and don't know if this is just "aging" pains. Sometimes wake up with tingly limbs. Mentally still sharp. Am wondering if I should repeat test, and which tests I should do...am thinking I tested too early and result may have been missed. Should I fly back to Connecticut where family is and see a specialist there or is there anyone reputable here in Denver?
